What do Babies Dream of?

We had a rough weekend here at Saving Grace Photography — 6 inches of rain have caused flooding along my property and down in my basement (which is a mess of floating toys and old clothing). I can still count my blessings — I was smart enough to pack my old pictures in plastic containers so the damage is minimal but it still makes me think of all that might have been lost. So, a word of warning, back up your files, store your photos where they are well protected and most of all, know the value of your history and the power it still has to bring a smile to your face.

I was proofing these last night, and even with the heavy rain beating down on our house and the wind whipping through our old trees, I couldn’t help but smile myself. I’m sure mom will when she sees these and again, 15 or 20 years from now when her tiny little preemie is a teenager and when they are all snuggled together on a couch, fighting off a storm. I’m sure the teenager will wonder what she was dreaming about to bring such a smile to her face and mom will wonder where the years have gone.

Now I must go. My little, just turned 3 yr old is screaming from the sun room thanks to an evil spider marring his Thomas the Train table. Stay dry eastcoasters and good night all. Enjoy the extra light.
